Voting in the Tesco Bags of Help initiative is now under way!    31 October, 2016

The Fen Ditton Recreation Ground Trust’s project to update the play sports equipment on the Rec has been chosen to receive £8000, £10 000 or £12 000 from this scheme, depending on shoppers’ votes at local Tesco stores.

Voting started on 31st October and continues until 13th November. Shoppers receive a token with each transaction*, which they can use to vote between the three shortlisted projects. Please use your tokens to vote for your local project and help improve the play area.

Stores where you can vote for Fen Ditton's project include:

  • Tesco Superstores at Cheddar's Lane, Newmarket Road and Yarrow Road, Fulbourn (but not Milton)
  • Tesco Express stores at Hills Road, Cambridge Leisure Park and Cherry Hinton (there may be more)
  • Further afield: Tesco Superstores in Ely and Newmarket

Please click here to find out more about the scheme, in which over £12.5 million raised from the 5p charge on single-use carrier bags will be used to help community projects across the UK.

* Some cashiers may not be aware of the scheme so you might need to ask for it.
